Ah, finally - baseball season is about to close. Don't get me wrong - I love baseball. The catch, however, is that when your team (Los Angeles Dodgers) goes from hopeful to hopeless on a consistent basis you start to look for the next sports season to get you through.
Under most circumstances that would be Raiders football (American football for my outside-of-the-US friends). Alas, a 1-3 start doth not make for much hope (though I reserve the right to hold out hope to see if we can get back to even).
Thus, I turn my attention to the start of NBA basketball camps. Yes (you guessed it), I Love LA (can't exactly figure out why but ah well... According to ESPN's Ric Bucher, the Lakers might actually have a chance at being respectable this year (notice I didn't say anything about championships or playoffs). Given the turmoil and the wonderful nature of the unknowns inhabiting the Staples Center (yes, the Lakers and the Clippers) I'll settle for respectability.

If you are really looking for a winning bet for good seasons in LA, Hurricane Season might be the only one they actually come through with a win...
Just an idea ;)
